Description

Variety Origin: Edulis Superba is a classic heritage variety of Paeonia lactiflora, introduced by French breeders in 1824. Suitable for mid-to-high-end cut flower production, classic landscape gardening, and courtyard planting.

Core Characteristics: The petals are thick, flexible, and resilient, displaying a pure rose-pink color with good gloss. The flower center is compact and full, maintaining a stable form after full bloom. Resistant to sun and rain exposure, not prone to fading or petal drop, with a classic beauty that remains appealing through the ages.

Cultivation Performance: Excellent cold hardiness (tolerates -25°C low temperatures), suitable for open-field cultivation in temperate and subtropical regions. Prefers fertile, well-drained, humus-rich loam (pH 6.0–7.5). Avoid waterlogging; keep soil consistently moist.

Edulis Superba peony takes “classic rose-pink color, rich fragrance, and centuries of stable performance” as its core advantages, combining historical heritage, aesthetic value, and practical cultivation characteristics.
