Variety Origin: Mons. Jules Elie peony is a classic herbaceous peony (Paeonia lactiflora), bred by French breeder Crousse and officially introduced in 1888.

Core Characteristics: The petals of Mons. Jules Elie are soft, moist, and glossy, emitting a rich rose fragrance. It produces abundant flowers with high ornamental value.

Cultivation Performance: Strong cold hardiness. Prefers full sun to partial shade environments. Prefers deep, fertile, well-drained neutral to slightly acidic or slightly alkaline loam, tolerating clay and sandy soils. Avoid heavy clay and waterlogged soil.

Mons. Jules Elie, a century-old classic variety, is renowned for its bomb-type double flowers, rich fragrance, and strong adaptability. Suitable for solitary planting in home gardens or group planting in flower beds. Its regular flower form and long bloom period also make it excellent cut flower material.
