Description

Variety Origin: Marshmallow Button peony was registered and introduced by American breeder Roy G. Klehm in 1986, belonging to the Paeonia × lactiflora hybrid group. Commonly used in gardens and as a cut flower.

Core Characteristics: The petals of Marshmallow Button are multi-layered and dense, with a thick, elastic texture and rounded edges. Outer petals are broad and upturned, while central petals are small and incurved, presenting a neat and pleasing overall form.

Cultivation Performance: Strong cold hardiness; flower form is more stable in cooler climates. Prefers full sun to partial shade (4-6 hours direct sun daily); thrives in loose, fertile, well-drained soil.

Marshmallow Button is a dwarf, compact classic double peony, renowned for its marshmallow-like flower form, rich rose fragrance, sturdy dwarf habit, and abundant flowering, holding value for both garden ornament and cut flower use.
