Variety Origin: Lemon Dream is a classic Itoh hybrid peony, bred by American breeder Roger F. Anderson. It first flowered in 1987 and was registered with the American Peony Society in 1999.
Core Characteristics: The flower color is primarily lemon yellow or yellowish-white. Some flowers occasionally display magenta, creamy yellow markings, or even unusual forms that are half-yellow and half-purple or with light purple streaks.
Cultivation Performance: Strong drought and cold resistance, able to grow normally in temperatures ranging from -15°C to 38°C, adapting to the climate of most regions. Prefers slightly acidic sandy loam with high humus content. Raised bed cultivation is recommended to ensure good soil drainage and prevent root rot caused by waterlogging.
Lemon Dream peony, as a distinctive Itoh hybrid peony, perfectly merges the superior genes of tree peonies and herbaceous peonies. It is suitable for home container gardening, in-ground garden planting, professional cut flower production, and landscape design.
