Description

Variety Origin: Belongs to the herbaceous peony Lactiflora Group. Bred in the USA and registered with the APS. A classic late-flowering variety from the 1940-1960 era. Considered a spelling variant of Margaret Clark. Named after the daughter of Floyd Armstrong.

Core Characteristics: Stems are thick and upright. Foliage is dark green and glossy. Blooms late May to early June.

Cultivation Performance: Adaptable to USDA zones 4-7 (tolerates -29°C). Prefers full sun and well-drained, fertile, neutral to slightly acidic soil. Best planted in autumn. Strong stress resistance, requires no staking. A quality cut flower, also suitable for the back of borders and garden specimen planting.

Margereth Clark peony features large, colorful flowers and a robust habit, adaptable to multiple cultivation scenarios, providing excellent late-season ornamental value.
