Variety Origin: White Vanguard was bred by an American breeder around 2003. It was later introduced to Europe and promoted globally by the renowned Dutch peony grower, the Scholten family. It belongs to the Herbaceous Hybrid group and is an artificial horticultural hybrid, not a natural wild species.
Core Characteristics: The flower petals have distinct ruffled edges, a thick texture, and a glossy sheen. The center averages 3 hairy carpels with distinct magenta stigmas. It produces pollen and seeds normally, enhancing the viewing experience. The plant exhibits vigorous growth.
Cultivation Performance: Prefers fertile, loose, well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline sandy loam soil (pH 6.0-7.0). Absolutely avoid waterlogging. Can be improved with leaf mold or decomposed organic fertilizer.
