Variety Origin: Bred by American breeder Donald Smith. It is an Itoh hybrid peony (Intersectional Peony), a cross between herbaceous peonies and tree peonies.
Core Characteristics: Foliage is dark green and glossy, providing a long ornamental period. Flowers open with a gradient of peach-pink, orange, and yellow, with pink blushes on the edges and a creamy white or light yellow center, presenting a soft overall orange tone. As they mature, they fade to creamy yellow, with persistent pink blushes on the edges and no prominent purple flares.
Cultivation Performance: Prefers full sun to partial shade; ample sunlight results in vibrant colors and an upright plant habit. Suited for loose, fertile, well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Cold hardy, can overwinter safely outdoors in temperate regions; most northern areas require no additional winter protection. Division is best done in autumn. Avoid continuous cropping to prevent soil-borne diseases. Possesses strong disease resistance.
