Variety Origin: An Itoh hybrid peony (Intersectional Peony) jointly developed by American breeder Roger Anderson and Swenson Gardens.
Core Characteristics: New spring foliage emerges wine-red, maturing to dark green, providing high ornamental value throughout the season. Flowers open as light pink, cup-shaped with rounded forms and shallow notches on the edges. As the bloom progresses, they fade to white starting from the petal edges, with purple flares extending approximately one-quarter of the petal length from the base, creating rich visual layering.
Cultivation Performance: Prefers full sun to partial shade; ample sunlight enhances the color gradient and promotes sturdy stems, preventing legginess. Suited for loose, fertile, well-drained neutral soil. Strictly avoid waterlogging. Cold hardy, can overwinter safely outdoors in temperate regions; most northern areas require no additional winter protection structures. Division is recommended in autumn. Avoid continuous cropping to reduce the probability of soil-borne diseases.
