Description

Variety Origin: Moon over Barrington is a classic herbaceous peony (Paeonia x lactiflora), bred by American breeder R.G. Klehm. It first flowered in 1968 and was officially registered in 1986. It is a representative variety among global white double peonies.

Core Characteristics: Petals are numerous and neatly arranged. Outer petals are expansive with natural ruffles; inner petals are compact and whorled like a vortex. The texture is silky, emitting a sweet rose fragrance. It produces no pollen or seeds and has abundant flowers.

Cultivation Performance: Strong cold hardiness. Prefers full sun (6+ hours daily), tolerates light partial shade. Prefers deep, fertile, well-drained loam, tolerates acidic and sandy soils. Avoid waterlogging.

Moon over Barrington peony takes “20cm large flowers, pink-white gradient coloration, and upright plant habit” as its core advantages. It has broad adaptability and combines ornamental and practical value, suitable for garden planting and high-end cut flowers.
