Description

Variety Origin: The Anemoniflora peony originated from classical European/Asian peony hybridization and selection, named for its flower form which closely resembles that of an anemone.
Key Characteristics: A perennial herbaceous plant with a moderately spreading growth habit, featuring multiple branches that form a natural, clump-like shape. Well-suited for mixed border planting or container cultivation.
Cultivation Performance: Has relatively high soil requirements, preferring loose, fertile soil and avoiding heavy clay or waterlogged conditions. Exhibits moderate sprouting vigor, with a spring bud emergence rate of approximately 60%-70%. New shoots grow steadily and are not prone to excessive elongation.
The Anemoniflora peony represents a highly distinctive group within peony flower type classifications. This variety group is notable for its outstanding ornamental value, though it requires slightly more management expertise compared to common peony varieties.
