Description

Variety Origin: A herbaceous hybrid peony bred by Moroz, a breeder from Minnesota, USA. Registered in 2006 (breeder code Moroz). Originated from an APS seed exchange program. Parentage information is not publicly disclosed. First flowered in 1992, first divided in 1996. Named after the breeder’s wife. Has received APS Merit Awards and Best Seedling honors.

Core Characteristics: Loose double form. Bright bubblegum pink color. Typically has 2 light green, sparsely hairy carpels with pink stigmas. Lacks stamens but can set seed when used as a seed parent. Foliage is broad, pointed, and emerald green. Plant height approximately 90cm, with an upright habit.

Cultivation Performance: Suitable for landscape planting and cut flowers. Prefers sun and loose, fertile, well-drained soil; avoid waterlogging. Cold hardiness consistent with standard peonies. Upright habit requires no staking. Standard care sufficient. Performs well as a seed parent in hybrid breeding.

Cheryl Ann is a double pink peony with bright color and neat habit. Easy to cultivate, it offers both ornamental and breeding value. Suitable for garden arrangement, cut flower production, and as a hybrid parent, it is an excellent choice among pink peonies.
