Variety Origin: Scientific name: Paeonia lactiflora ‘Flying Pink Saucers’. Bred by Illinois, USA breeder R.G. Klehm, officially registered in 1999. Named for its large, bowl-shaped flowers held high above the foliage, swaying gently in the breeze like “flying pink saucers,” accurately interpreting the dynamic beauty of the flower form.

Core Characteristics: Flowers are large and full. One flower per stem (single bud per stem). Whole plant bloom period 2-3 weeks, individual flower lifespan 7-10 days. Flowers held above the foliage, swaying gracefully in the breeze, offering dynamic beauty.

Cultivation Performance: Good resistance to pests and diseases. Deer and rabbits tend to avoid it. Relatively low maintenance. USDA zones 3-8, tolerates -30°C, can overwinter outdoors from northern China to the Yangtze River basin.
