Variety Origin: Glowing Raspberry Rose is a herbaceous hybrid peony variety registered by breeders Cousins/Klehm, R.G. in Ontario, Canada in 1981 (breeding number 72-2). It first flowered in 1968. Belonging to the Lyman Cousins breeding series, it is named for its quality of “inherent inner glow” and is a classic, long-popular variety.

Prefers full sun and fertile, loose, well-drained, neutral to slightly acidic soil; avoid waterlogging. Foliage is thick with relatively strong disease resistance. Maintenance difficulty is moderate. Best planted in autumn (September-October), with buds covered no more than 5cm deep. Due to heavy flowers, slight staking may be needed.
