Description

Cultivar Origin: Developed in the United States by renowned peony breeder Roger F. Anderson; officially registered in 2009. A herbaceous garden cultivar of Paeonia lactiflora and one of the classic representatives of striped herbaceous peonies.

Core Characteristics: Sturdy, upright stems; well‑proportioned striping; erect, non‑pendulous blooms.

Cultivation Performance: Suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 3–8, winter-hardy to −30 °C; can overwinter outdoors across northern China to the Yangtze River Basin. Thrives in full sun and well‑drained neutral to slightly acidic loam; intolerant of waterlogging. Propagated by division in autumn; eyes planted ≤5 cm deep. Low‑maintenance, with good disease and pest resistance. Vase life: 7–8 days.

‘Juliska’ features distinctive striped flowers with high ornamental appeal, excellent for both garden display and cut-flower use. Its robust habit and easy care make it a top choice for specialty peony collections.
