Description

Variety Origin: Paula Fay belongs to the genus Paeonia in the family Paeoniaceae. It is a classic hybrid horticultural variety of the Paeonia lactiflora lineage, cultivated by American breeder Samuel Wissing in 1963.

Core Characteristics: The petals are soft, moist, and light yet crisp, feeling silky and soft to the touch. The overall flower form resembles the blush on a young girl’s cheek, exuding a gentle and elegant style.

Cultivation Performance: Excellent cold hardiness. Prefers full sun. Not demanding regarding soil type, prefers loose, fertile, well-drained slightly acidic to neutral loam. Avoid heavy clay and waterlogged soil.

Paula Fay peony, with its “elegant flower form, gradient coloration, and fresh fragrance,” is the “soft representative” among peony varieties. It suits both the fresh demands of the high-end cut flower market and home garden planting, as well as landscape configuration.
