Variety Origin: It is an Itoh hybrid peony variety bred by breeder Donald R. Smith from Massachusetts, USA, registered in 2002. It first flowered in 2000 and is a high-quality hybrid combining the advantages of herbaceous and tree peonies.
Core Characteristics: The flower color is a rich deep pink with a creamy base, fading slightly upon maturity. Prominent dark plum-colored flares are present at the base of the petals. Each stem typically has 2-3 flower buds, with abundant lateral buds, extending the bloom period to about two and a half weeks.
Cultivation Performance: Excellent cold hardiness, tolerating -20°C, suitable for planting in most regions of Europe and America, as well as many areas across China’s north and south. Tolerates partial shade but also prefers ample sunlight. Adaptable to acidic, alkaline, and neutral soils. The only intolerance is waterlogging. Suitable for autumn planting. Overall, it has strong disease resistance and is not easily infected.
