Variety Origin: It is an Itoh hybrid peony (Intersectional Hybrid) bred by American breeder Roger Anderson and introduced by Swenson Gardens. It was registered with the American Peony Society (APS) in 2018. First flowered and began propagation in 2013.
Core Characteristics: Yellow petals are irregularly blushed with pink, presenting a coppery tone. Rose-red flares extend approximately 15-20% of the petal length from the base. New foliage is purple-red, maturing to green, typical of Itoh hybrids with good texture. Stamens are present but lack pollen. Carpels are green and hairy with pink stigmas. It is sterile and does not set seed.
Cultivation Performance: Strong cold hardiness. Prefers full sun to partial shade. Suited for well-drained, loose, fertile, slightly acidic to neutral soil. Grows steadily with moderate tillering ability, reaching maturity relatively quickly. Low maintenance; stems have good support, requiring no additional staking. Inherits the advantages of Itoh hybrids with strong disease resistance.
