Variety Origin: An Itoh hybrid peony (Intersectional Peony) commonly found in European and American breeding systems.
Core Characteristics: Petals are bright pink with deeply ruffled, “picotee” edges. The center features deep pink to near-purple “flash” flares, creating rich layering. Stamens are golden-yellow; pistil stigmas are pink. Possesses a light, pleasant fragrance. Stems bear 1-2 flowers. Individual plant bloom period is approximately 3 weeks.
Cultivation Performance: Prefers full sun. Insufficient light can cause color to lighten, ruffles to become less distinct, and center flares to fade. Suited for loose, fertile, well-drained slightly acidic to neutral soil. Strictly avoid waterlogging; ensure timely drainage during rainy seasons. Cold hardy. Division in autumn is recommended. Avoid continuous cropping to prevent soil-borne diseases. Possesses comprehensive strong resistance.
Ruffled Flash is a ruffled, double-flowered Itoh peony.
