Variety Origin: Hillary peony is an Itoh peony variety bred by Anderson. It first flowered in 1990 and was registered in 1999.
Core Characteristics: The overall petal texture is relatively thick and sturdy, with a slight leathery feel. They are quite elastic and not easily damaged or deformed by wind and rain.
Cultivation Performance: Strong cold hardiness, but not tolerant of high temperatures and humidity. Prefers sunny environments but can also tolerate some partial shade. Has higher soil requirements, preferring loose, fertile, well-drained slightly acidic or neutral soil.
